![]() The story started with finding house numbers on a porch step on an old baby photo. It has ended with finding a house we rented in WWII while dad amputated war wounded at McCloskey General Hospital as an orthopedic surgeon & Captain in the US Army. Special thanks to Nancy Daniel & Patricia Benoit for helping me find this chapter in our family life! Story & phos here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.4804409280532.2171524.1605123792& ![]() Historian and former Hillcrest Cemetery Manager as well as columnist for the Temple Daily Telegram, Patricia Benoit, wrote this book on Temple. It includes a chaper on McCloskey General Hospital, now the Texas A&M teaching hospital. I've been very happy to become acquainted with her; she shared some WWII articles & phos of patients in 1945.
